  1. The tenant is responsible for the car since leaving Amizu ehf office until the car is registered as returned in the office system.
  2. When renting a car, the driver must provide valid driving licence that has been held for at least 12 months. The driver must be 20 years old, but when renting off-road car – 21 years old.
  3. The tenant undertakes to return the car undamaged and with complete equipment to the place where the car was taken.
  4. When the return is delayed for more than one hour, the tenant is charged for the entire day.
  5. Any extension of the contract must be agreed and approved by Amizu ehf no later than 24 hours before the end of the contract.
  6. The fuel tank of the rented car must be full upon pickup and return.
  7. The car should be clean when returned.
  8. After concluding the rental agreement, the tenant pays a fee in the amount of the rental and fees for additional services for the rental period specified in the agreement. Payment can be made in cash or by card.
  9. The driver bears the costs of pouring another type of fuel, discharging the battery and pulling the car out of sandy beaches (we only drive the car on roads)
  10. The renter is always responsible for the following damages that are not covered by insurance: negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol, damage to tires, the underside of the car, damage to the car engine caused by water entering the engine, any damage caused by entering the river.
  11. It should be pointed out that disputes between the parties to the lease agreement can be brought to the committees of the Consumers` Association and Association of tourism. Forum for Amizu ehf is the District Court of Reykjavík.
